“The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides and gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, we shall have discovered fire”
Tielhard de Chardin
In 1988, as the result of a mysterious allergic response to an herbal remedy that was supposed to whip my intestinal tract into shape, I ended up with a generally fatal, incurable disease that is known to most people by the name scleroderma. Its proper name, in my case – which was a very bad case, indeed – was the more technical name: diffuse progressive systemic sclerosis. Within mere months after taking the herbal remedy that had been prescribed for me by a well-meaning, licensed nutritionist, to eliminate candida from my system, my body began to turn to something far more like wood than flesh – inside and out – and it began transitioning from normal tissue to scar tissue. It was scleroderma – and my healing from it – that introduced me to the world of alternative healing.
In the Bible the form of energy work that we all have available to us – the kind Jesus did – was called the laying on of hands. People have been doing it for centuries. You need neither initiations nor attunements to pass healing energy to another living being. I received training for and practiced as an energy healer full time for over 16 years, and during that time I came to appreciate that everyone of us has the ability to use the energy that he or she carries as a means of healing. We are all born healers; all anyone needs to make use of that birthright is a good intuition and some information.
We are only as good a healer as we can be focused and clear ourselves, so that’s where Born Healers picks up, providing the reader with various disciplines that can be used to rein in the mind, allowing intuition and spirit to lead the way. From there it moves into information about the various energy centers in the body, providing a solid foundation for anyone with a mind set on being the best healer they can be.
